The Joiner Trailer ProjectClick on the images below to see a larger picture. Please be patient, the larger images take a few seconds to load, even with DSL! |
First we sanded and cleaned the aluminum floor. After the cleaning, we applied an etching primer and masked off areas that we did not want coated.
The gray stuff is our premium floor coating. Since this is where he spends a lot of his time, Joe wanted the area in front of the car to have an easy to clean surface.
This is where Joe's little 5.0 spends most of its time! It has been known to make it down the track a few times!
We coated the ramp where the tires will make contact on the ramp. With all of the fluids leaking from his car, it gives Joe a good surface for the tires to grab traction.
A close up of the ramp.
And finally, one of the few times Joe's car is NOT stuck on the trailer!
| A big thanks to Joe Joiner Jr. at Billingsley Ford for letting us practice on his trailer. We are just kidding about the race car!!! | |
